By juxtaposing representations of mythical creatures found in Incan temples alongside the rigidity embodied within Joseon Dynasty stone guardians, Isolina intricately weaves together ancient motifs with her expansive world of characters. Shameless in scale and response, her figures honor her familial heritage while simultaneously deconstructing and redefining cultural paradigms through craft.
